The blends were reinforced with a precipitated amorphous white silica nanofiller the surfaces of which were pretreated with bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)-tetrasulfide (TESPT). TESPT is a sulfur-bearing bifunctional organosilane that chemically bonds silica to rubber.
