We aim to examine the correlation between social developmental factors like peer and parental bonds, and romantic relationships, and emerging adult cancer survivors' perceptions of social inclusion. The data collection strategy in this study involved a within-group, cross-sectional approach. To gather data, questionnaires used the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire, Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment, Adolescent Social Self-Efficacy Scale, Personal Evaluation Inventory, Self-Perception Profile for Adolescents, and demographic information. By employing correlations, the interrelationships between general demographics, cancer-specific factors, and psychosocial outcomes were determined. Peer and romantic relationship self-efficacy were assessed as potential mediators of social acceptance within the framework of three mediation models. A review of the associations between perceived physical attractiveness, attachments to peers and parents, and social acceptance was conducted. Data pertaining to N=52 adult cancer survivors diagnosed with cancer during their childhood (average age 21.38 years, standard deviation 3.11 years) were collected. A prominent direct influence of perceived physical attractiveness on perceived social acceptance was evident in the first mediation model, a finding that held true when indirect effects of mediating factors were controlled for. A bibliometric study will be conducted to analyze publications on COVID-19 by personnel of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in medical-scientific journals.
Publications indexed in PubMed and EMBASE databases were meticulously reviewed systematically, to create a comprehensive literature analysis, concluding in September 2022. COVID-19 articles featuring at least one IMSS-affiliated author were incorporated, encompassing various publication formats like original articles, review articles, and clinical case reports. The analysis employed a descriptive approach.
A database of 588 abstracts was generated, from which 533 full-length articles successfully met the strict selection criteria. Research articles accounted for 48% of the publications, while review articles were the next most prevalent. The discussion concentrated largely on the clinical and epidemiological implications. A total of 232 diverse journals, predominantly foreign (918% of the total), published these works. Approximately half the publications were co-authored by personnel from the IMSS and researchers affiliated with domestic or foreign institutions.
